This raises the question of whether the term "supply chain management" is just a trendy phrase or if this approach offers new opportunities for corporate management. Some companies are trying to detect such developments early through a risk management system and, if possible, prevent them. Many publicly traded companies provide their shareholders with information about risk management in various reports. This leads to the question of how genuine these representations really are. The main part will address the topic of risk, focusing on the specifics of risk management in supply chains and the possibilities for managing supply chain risks.
