Product details

Gerresheim, the picturesque district in eastern Düsseldorf, has a long and eventful history. The historical center of Gerresheim is formed by Gerricusplatz, featuring the collegiate church consecrated in 1236. From 1864, another industrially shaped center developed around the Gerresheim glassworks. Following the great success of their 2010 picture book "Düsseldorf-Gerresheim," the two Gerresheim residents Thomas Boller and Peter Stegt now present the long-awaited continuation. The experienced author team has once again compiled around 200 mostly unpublished historical photographs from public and private collections, inviting readers on an entertaining journey into old Gerresheim. The impressive images date from the period between 1890 and the 1980s and showcase unique views that provide a reunion with numerous houses.
