Meiningen, the small town between the Thuringian Forest and the Rhön, is a popular destination for many tourists. Unfortunately, visitors generally learn little about the people and life in the town. Thanks to the willingness and openness of many citizens and business owners of Meiningen, the author was able to compile over 200 historical photographs, most of which have not been published before. The result is a book full of vivid memories that depicts Meiningen in the years between 1870 and 1960.
