When I was a little girl, even before I started elementary school, my grandpa from Bruck always called me "Doctor." He read fairy tales to me, taught me the capitals of Europe, and showed me how to graft trees. In November 2002, he passed away while I was in the middle of my dissertation, and I had to promise him solemnly that I would finish it. Of course, one keeps promises! I never dared to dream that it would one day become a book. I thank the Saarbrücken Publishing House for Legal Sciences for this opportunity to publish. This book, my dissertation, deals with copyright criminal law in the age of new media. It first presents the fundamentals of copyright law, and the main part of the work includes the material assessment of copyright criminal law, detailing the individual criminal offenses.
