This book is primarily aimed at students and educators in the field of economics who are engaged with the thematic complex of "tourism." Secondly, it addresses practitioners who inevitably encounter the area of "tourism law" in their daily work. The subject, which is relatively easy to understand yet quite complex, is explained from a legal perspective specifically for non-lawyers. To this end, the regulatory framework of the World Trade Organization and the scope of relevant international agreements are presented, followed by EU law and aspects of German law. The first part includes an introduction to international trade law along with explanatory excerpts from the GATS, while focusing on the Montreal and Warsaw Conventions. The second part provides an introduction.
