Product details
The diarist Mathilde Charlotte von Grolman, married to Gustav Emil Graf von Keller, chamberlain and secret government councilor, was the mother of the last lady-in-waiting at the imperial court, Mathilde Amalie Gräfin von Keller. She served Empress Auguste Viktoria for forty years, from 1881 to 1921. In her writings, she vividly and sensitively describes her life as a young woman in Potsdam from 1832 to 1847. She attended court balls, theater performances, family celebrations, and concerts, went sledding with friends, and gathered with family, relatives, and friends to fulfill social obligations.
