The students' active participation is at the center of the teaching from the very beginning. The teacher increasingly takes on the role of a facilitator, introducing new language material or practice techniques, then stepping back and allowing the students to carry out the activities themselves. This gives students the opportunity to learn through discovery and consciously apply their skills, while also allowing the teacher to intervene specifically where help or guidance is needed. The exercises and practice games are designed so that students can carry them out independently in pairs or groups and can also partially control their own progress. The textbooks feature colorful and imaginative illustrations.
