Comic adventures of Tarzan. On March 15, 1931, the first colored comic page of Tarzan appeared in several American newspapers. This page and the following 27 pages were illustrated by Rex Maxon. Starting September 27, 1931, the series was taken over by Hal Foster, who later became world-famous for Prince Valiant. He produced 293 pages for this series in the following years. In mid-1937, the legendary Burne Hogarth, known for his dynamic drawing style, succeeded him. Aside from a longer break in the 1940s, during which Ruben Moreira illustrated, Hogarth continued the adventure stories until 1950. Bocola is publishing these restored Tarzan comics in their original colors for the first time in ten volumes. In 10 large hardcover books (26.3 x 35.4 cm), the detailed illustrations are showcased beautifully. Each volume contains approximately 112 pages and costs $29.90, including two annual issues.
