"Never show everything" was the motto of publisher Robert Harrison. Of course, the American "Girlie" magazines of the 1940s and 1950s weren't allowed to show very much anyway, but Harrison did what he could and enticed his readers with crazy photo adventures and colorful covers of seductive "bad girls" painted by pin-up artists like Earl Moran, Billy DeVorss and - the most famous of them - Peter Driben. This issue contains all the covers of Beauty Parade, Wink, Titter, Eyeful, Flirt and Whisper magazines and lots of burlesque picture stories with strippers and starlets, including young Bettie Page.
