Information about the Author

Ivor Timmis is a lecturer in English as a Foreign Language at Leeds Beckett University. His research interests focus on the relationship between corpus linguistics and English language teaching, which is the subject of his three articles in the ELT Journal. He is also working on a historical spoken corpus with data from the late 1930s in his hometown of Bolton.
