However, when it comes to the concrete collaboration between both professional groups in the school setting, there is still a lack of concepts. In order to develop such concepts, it is essential to first clarify fundamental questions: How has the role of the teacher changed throughout history, and to what extent can social work/social pedagogy play a role in schools? What expectations do both professional groups have of each other, and how can they collaborate effectively? This book aims to serve as a foundation for a better understanding of the different roles of teachers and school social workers, and can thus be used as a basis for developing collaborations.
