Textbook for technical English in the field of mechanical engineering at universities, colleges, and in technician training. Through numerous illustrated texts and varied exercises, the technical vocabulary is developed, deepened, and applied directly in context. The first part of the book covers the basics (Basic Vocabulary, Grammar Revision, Material Technology, Physical Forces and Mathematics, Machining and Forming Methods). The second part includes a selection of nine modules from various technical fields (automotive, shipbuilding, aerospace, mechanical engineering) that are addressed in lectures but can also serve as a useful reference in later professional life. Solutions to the exercises and sample texts are provided in the appendix of the book for self-checking. Additionally, there is a comprehensive vocabulary list of all technical terms (German-English).
