German, 2014Only 1 piece in stock at third-party supplier
Product details
The book systematically illuminates the fundamentals of die forging and presents the various processes, applications, and their calculations. It covers different materials, work processes, heat treatments, tools, and machines (with a special focus on spindle presses). The numerous manufacturing examples include tips for practical design of die-forged parts. Die forging is a hot bulk forming process. According to DIN 8583, it belongs to the pressure forming processes with mutually moving forming tools, where the material is pressed in a specific direction and takes on the shape of the engravings present in the die. The raw part is heated to approximately 1200 °C and is reshaped through several intermediate forms into the finished workpiece. The workflow consists of mass distribution and cross-section preforming.
