Product details

Blended Learning is the buzzword used today to describe educational forms that integrate internet-based media with traditional classroom instruction. This approach opens up the strengths of two learning environments for students, learners, and seminar participants: the motivating, collaborative learning experience in educational institutions and the self-directed, individualized learning at home or in the workplace, regardless of location and time, through online forums, blog platforms, or podcast learning units. Educational institutions in schools, universities, and vocational training are increasingly implementing their educational offerings and products according to this model. In addition to the tasks of didactic design for corresponding events, strategic decisions must also be made within educational institutions, infrastructures created, and standards developed for blended learning offerings. In particular, universities face the challenge of modernizing their structures and processes as a result of the Bologna reform. Ulrich Iberer is developing a model for how blended learning can be integrated into a continuing education master's program from the perspective of institutional governance.
