Product details

Everyone meditates: FAZ and Bild reporters, journalists from In Style, Freundin, and Brigitte, Spiegel and Stern, as well as television journalists, actors, and presenters, managers, and even some politicians. They all meditate and spread the teaching of emptiness. This emptiness, full of abundance, arises when one meditates regularly. In the Buddhist tradition, meditation is the cornerstone of spiritual search, while in open-minded Western companies, it is a key component of workplace health promotion. Meditation connects the visible world with the invisible, offering relaxation between mysticism and everyday life, aiding self-regulation, and strengthening self-healing powers. Continuous meditation practice enhances concentration and cognitive abilities. In the workplace, it improves cognitive performance and boosts creativity, according to scientists and doctors. Meditation complements the therapy concept in numerous psychosomatic clinics for individuals with depression, burnout syndrome, or stress-related illnesses. As an important spiritual tool, meditation can sustainably strengthen corporate culture, contribute to psychosocial and mental health recovery, and should be included in every preventive catalog of statutory health insurance. What restores managers' mental balance can often benefit stressed employees as well. In her study, Dwariko Pfeifer documents through guideline-based in-depth interviews with 12 graduates of a spiritual training (Sammasati) that modern forms of meditation are not just a balm for the souls of a few eccentrics, but also support employers in nurturing their human capital. There are still prejudices to overcome here and now. In her plea for an experimental meditation practice in companies, she calls for space and time for a new spirit in organizations.
