Heinrich Ströbel (1869-1944) is one of the almost forgotten figures of the Weimar Republic, despite being actively involved in the political and intellectual life of Germany for decades. Benjamin Bock focuses on Ströbel's intellectual relationship with the first democracy on German soil: the analysis centers on his political editorials in the magazine Die Weltbühne, arguably the most significant and controversial publication of that time.
