Product details

In response to the student protests during the Paris May events, Alain de Benoist founded the Nouvelle Droite, whose members and supporters have since tirelessly advocated for the diversity of cultures and their necessary preservation. His book "Revolt of the Cultures," published in the 1990s, is intended by Benoist to be understood as a more positive alternative to Samuel Huntington's "The Clash of Civilizations." Not only does Benoist claim an intellectual theory for himself, but his followers also find a boldness of thought in his writings. However, for every supporter, there are just as many critics, some of whom accuse Benoist of promoting ideas that pose an underestimated danger and are fascist in nature. Ines Weber analyzes Benoist's most important works through the questions: Does he live up to his self-proclaimed claim?.
