The financial market and the topic of sustainability represent, on one hand, profit expectations and high returns, and on the other hand, ethical and moral values for societal development. How can both be reconciled? Under the term socially responsible investing, a number of alternative investment forms have carved out a niche that is now experiencing high growth rates in the financial markets. These investment forms are characterized by the consideration of social and ecological aspects in the investment decision and a medium to long-term investment horizon.
