Postmodernism reflects and inspires our daily lives like no other era of modern art. Any form of contemporary pop culture can be understood as a symptom of postmodernism, yet it is often mistakenly recognized as historicism. The avant-garde demand for the connection between life and art is mirrored in it. In this context, David Wojnarowicz stands as an example of a typical postmodern artist at the center of this work. Wojnarowicz was part of the influential artist-photographer scene that emerged predominantly in New York during the 1980s. His work reflects the exciting, disturbing, passionate, political, and creative life of the artist. Postmodern phenomena that can be identified in the USA from the 1960s onwards are examined and discussed through Wojnarowicz's works.
