Since November 5, 2001, Spreepark-Plänterwald has been in a Sleeping Beauty slumber. The overgrown site with its decaying attractions creates a poetic image of decay. Yet, when observing this area, one can almost hear the bustle of 40 years of amusement. Christopher Flade and Sacha Szabo, two well-known amusement park experts, embark on an exciting quest for traces together with the reader. They interviewed 20 eyewitnesses about their experiences in Spreepark. The result is not a conventional park guide, which would not do justice to this special place, but a lovingly compiled literary-scientific park tour that provides insights into 40 years of park history.
