"Tellereisen" tells the story of the writer Martial, who is commissioned by the radio to research the events in the Bergell during the Thirty Years' War. Rejected by the locals as a stranger and abandoned by his wife, he increasingly becomes captivated by the past - both his own and that of the Graubünden valley. Author Walther Kauer (1935-1987) grew up in Bern. In addition to his journalistic work, he published novels, short stories, radio plays, and dramas. He achieved breakthrough success with the novels "Schachteltraum" and "Spätholz." He received multiple awards for his literary work.
