Jesse Stone, the cop from Los Angeles, has found a new home in the quiet small town of Paradise, Massachusetts. However, he still drinks too much and thinks too often about his ex-wife, who suddenly appears in town and works as the new weather girl for the local television station. While Stone has a brief affair with a real estate agent and struggles to detach himself from the attractive district attorney, he is unaware that a gang is devising a cunning and treacherous plan.
