Under the Western Sky - this is the original title of the volume published in 1952. Originally released by Delta as the fourth book in the Lucky Luke Classics series, this volume is now being integrated into the "regular" LL series. In this volume, Morris presents us with three stories that he illustrated for the Belgian Spirou magazine, published between 1949 and 1950. In Germany, they first appeared in 1960 in "Der heitere Fridolin" from the Alfons Semrau Verlag. "The Return of Revolver Joe," "Round-Up," and "The Great Fight" showcase an early Mr. Luke in top form, even though he does not yet embody the "Eastwood-like" lankiness of the following years... and of course, his pulmonologist had not yet forbidden him from smoking.
