Product details

Text Linguistics for Exams complements the existing works on Linguistics for Exams. The aim is to convey the practical analytical skills needed to tackle text-linguistic tasks in the exam. Therefore, phenomena that can be considered text-linguistic in a narrower sense and are typically not addressed in syntax are captured and discussed: indicators of textuality, particularly in terms of cohesion, coherence, utility, and the regularity of linguistic forms. Additionally, a descriptive model is presented that offers a systematization and integration of various indicators of textuality and guides the reader in empirically tracing these indicators through specific text examples.
