This volume contains 40 solo pieces for women and men, as well as 30 duo scenes. It serves as an initial collection of scenes and studies for training, auditions, and ongoing practice for actors. The selection features representative international playwrights of the 20th century, with individual scenes and occasionally multiple scenes. Additionally, it was a particular goal of the editor to include film texts, including those by Fellini and Godard, in the collection, reflecting the shift in the job market for actors towards audiovisual media.
