Product details
Even if one is not radical in other respects: In one's neurosis, one resists. Unfortunately, this is often against oneself - against the part that is all too willing to adapt and to blend into the conformity of the seemingly normal. The trend is to develop neurosis as an inseparable core of personality, as an indispensable substitute for identity and a trademark. These stories, portraits, and scenes explore inner voids and emotional abysses. Roughly sketched and presented in a woodcut style, they depict types who have made their neurosis a principle of life. A process of repression at the forefront. People between the ages of 15 and 80, here and now, yesterday and the day before, on their journey, struggling with the reality and radicality of their quirks. What unites the texts is that in them, psychological deformities often represent a rebellion against adversaries.
