This constellation seeks to contour the "how" of music in the richest possible way. The terms through which this constellation is constructed and explained—difference, resonance, gesture and rhythm, space and time, materiality—are only partially genuinely musical. They are terms of a philosophical aesthetics that is not applied to music but rather developed with and alongside it. They are philosophical constellations regarding music in the sense that they aim less to speak about music than to engage with it.
