Product details
Paul Ludwig Landsberg connects the central existential theme of death with the search for what is special about humanity: "What does death mean for us humans? The question is inexhaustible; it concerns the mystery of humanity itself, which one approaches from a certain angle with this question. Every true philosophical fundamental problem contains all others in the unity of the mystery." "The Experience of Death" was first published in 1934 in Spanish translation, then in 1935 in a translation by Pierre Klossowski in the magazine "Esprit" in French. The German version was published in 1937 in Switzerland, and finally in 1947 in the magazine "Hochland" and in 1973 as a book. With this edition, this significant study and an unjustly forgotten original philosopher and sociologist can be rediscovered.
