Product details

These films have nothing to do with anything else in German cinema. And as if that weren't enough of an accolade, they are also stunningly funny, painfully poetic, and damn magnificent. Georg Seesslen, Die Zeit. With the Roman Catholic propaganda film "The Shine of These Days," one of the most troubled production histories of West German post-war cinema began in the mid-1980s. Following "The Shine of These Days," the long-haired report "Summer of Love" was released in 1992, and after that – with a production effort of almost ten years – the adventure fairy tale film "The Journey to Happiness." Since then, Wenzel Storch has been haunting the media as Germany's "strangest" (Der Spiegel), "most daring" (Rolling Stone), "most audacious" (Szene Hamburg), "most eccentric" (Geo), "most extreme" (Sarah Kuttner), and "most obsessed" (Die Welt) filmmaker. And of course, as "Germany's best director" (Titanic).
