The historical-theological commentary series on the New Testament is a project by exegetes from the evangelical field. It aims to explain and clarify the statements of the New Testament texts with scientific thoroughness, considering their historical context, literary characteristics, and with a strong emphasis on their theological concerns. In doing so, both traditional and newer exegetical methods and research findings are taken into account. What makes this commentary series special is that, beyond striving for a precise historical explanation, it also builds bridges to the contemporary church.
