Professor Klaus Schwab is the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, an international organization for public-private cooperation. In 1998, he established the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, which aims to identify, recognize, and disseminate initiatives in the field of social entrepreneurship that have the potential to be replicated globally. As an engineer and economist, Professor Klaus Schwab holds a doctorate in economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Freiburg, a degree in engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, and a master's degree in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He has received numerous international and national awards.
