Abstract: This paper first briefly explains what is meant by sculptural methods, and the family board according to Ludewig is categorized within the common methods. Then, the theoretical background, structure, and application are described, along with quality criteria, limitations of the method, and criticism. Finally, the application in practice is illustrated with two examples. Two areas have been selected to highlight the diverse application possibilities of the family board: the clinical field with a case study from detoxification counseling and the area of organizational consulting and supervision.
