The Missing Person, The Trial, and The Castle are the three unfinished novel fragments by Franz Kafka. None of them were completed, nor published during his lifetime. In this box, they are now collected for listening. The outstanding narrators Peter Simonischek, Peter Matić, and Michael Evers provide direct access to Kafka's often mysterious and seemingly closed texts through their readings. The clarity of his language particularly comes to the forefront, as does the idea that in a threatening world, humanity is repeatedly thrown back upon itself.
