The author Paul Graebner (1871-1933) was a botanist and professor at the Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem. His research focused particularly on the plant geography of Germany. In the present volume from 1909, "The Plant World of Germany - Textbook of Formation Biology," he presents the life history of the wild-growing plant communities and cultivated areas of Germany.
