Nursing professionals find themselves in a state of upheaval today: educational reforms, efforts towards academicization, and changes in their field of activity are influencing their daily work. What points of orientation exist in this transitional situation, and how do they impact the professional self-understanding, or rather the professional identity of nursing professionals? Bettina Flaiz explores these questions using a multiperspective approach. Theoretically, she particularly draws on Bourdieu's habitus theory.
