The Püstrich of Sondershausen is the story of a boulder from the mid-16th century that remains a landmark of the city to this day. Considered by many as a deity of ancient pagan origin, the Püstrich has been granted a special status. Martin Friedrich Rabe now defends against its classification as an idol.
