Prof. Dr. Gerhard Maier, born in 1937, served as rector at the Albrecht-Bengel-Haus in Tübingen, as a prelate in Ulm, and from 2001 to 2005 as the regional bishop of the Evangelical State Church in Württemberg. He lives with his wife in Tübingen. Selected publications include: "The End of the Historical-Critical Method," 1974; "The Book of Revelation and the Church," 1981; "Biblical Hermeneutics," 1990 (1994). Gerhard Maier is a co-editor of the "Great Bible Lexicon" and is responsible for the commentary series "Wuppertaler Studienbibel" and "Edition C Bible Commentary" as an editor and author of several commentary volumes.

Heinz-Werner Neuendorfer was born in 1952 in Wattenscheid. After completing his high school diploma, he learned Greek and Hebrew in Stuttgart, and then studied theology in Tübingen and Erlangen. After his exams and a year of work at the "Institutum Judaicum" of the Tübingen faculty, he served as a vicar in Onstmettingen near Balingen, as a research assistant at the Bengel-Haus, as a parish administrator in Neuenbürg, and as a pastor in Wittlensweiler and Aach near Freudenstadt, as well as a study director for the New Testament at the Bengel-Haus. From 1997 to 2005, he was the first pastor in Weil im Schönbuch near Böblingen and a member of the 13th Württemberg State Synod. Since 2005, he has been the dean of the Marbach am Neckar church district and is a pastor in the Schillerstadt.

Prof. Dr. Eckhard J. Schnabel, born in 1955, taught theology at the Wiedenest Mission House Bible School and the Free Theological Academy in Giessen until 1998. Since 1998, he has been the author of several books and a professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield/Chicago (USA).
