"Resolution" initially refers to the clearing out of the apartment in the East Berlin district of Köpenick after the death of the narrator's mother - a reason to engage with the intimate, contemporary history, and the mythologized backstory that is equally reflected in the rooms of the dilapidated house, in furniture, everyday objects, books, and images.
