Tao - "the Way": of life, of nature; the origin of the universe, the unity of all opposites. This is a central concept of philosophical Daoism (Taoism), that "religion of poets, even if they do not know it." The groundbreaking starting point is the Daodejing (Tao-Te-King) by the legendary Laozi (Lao Tzu): the most translated book after the Bible, which has been increasingly quoted worldwide for decades. Modern themes such as cosmogony, preservation of nature, avoidance of wars, and sustainable leadership instead of possessive politics are addressed by Laozi in a timeless manner, just like lifestyle and problem-solving - ideally even before problems arise. Laozi's "three treasures": contentment, humility, and love suggest significant similarities with the philosophy of a certain Jesus of Nazareth - more than 400 years earlier.
