Product details

In addition to the language that comes from the Other and is not innate, it is temporality that structures the physical being of the subject. As finite, it manifests itself in affects (hope, fear, envy, joy, sorrow, etc.) that are linked to the body and language, yet cannot be reduced to them. They can be assigned to the Imaginary, as conceived by the late Lacan in the topology of the Borromean knot. Furthermore, the puzzles of temporality are focused on, which is always present yet fleeting, elusive, determining yet non-being, objective yet subjective, and for which there are no sensory organs to perceive it. Drawing also on Heidegger and Merleau-Ponty, the thesis is put forward that the subject is time, that its linguistic, bodily, and affective being gives it shape and realizes it.
