How does a Spaniard meet a gardener or a gardener meet a Spaniard? In our modern times, this often happens over the internet. Domingo Vazquez and Marina Wüst got to know each other through a large German gardening forum, united by their love for gardening and the Spanish language. On the day of the open garden event, they had their first visit, which blossomed into a friendship. They had long been contemplating the idea of publishing their own gardening book because they knew of several beautiful gardens that had not yet been published. Inspired by Domingo's photos, this project then took concrete shape. 15 garden owners were recruited for this project. All share a passion for gardening and have a wealth of experiences and ideas to share. They personally wrote the texts about their gardens, allowing them to express what their gardens are like.
