Just as the critique of political economy denounced the capitalist subject as the "character mask" of an invisible compulsion - in the revolutionary hope that the critical concept of the subject and the criticized subjectivity were not immediately identical - the critique of psychic economy exposes the compulsive unconscious behind the supposedly free will of the individual - in the therapeutic hope that psychic regression is a reversible individual fate. However, as the increasing organic composition of capital solidifies the political coercive nature of subjectivity, the degree of compulsion of the subject also rises: externally, the subject loses.
