Annemarie Renger, née Wildung (October 7, 1919 in Leipzig; March 3, 2008 in Remagen-Oberwinter), was a German politician of the SPD. She served as President of the German Bundestag from 1972 to 1976 and as Vice President from 1976 to 1990. Annemarie Renger came from a social democratic family. Her grandfather was an active social democrat. She was one of seven children of the carpenter, SPD politician, and sports official Fritz Wildung (1872-1954) and his wife Martha. Her mother joined the SPD in 1908, the year women were first allowed to become members of the party. Her father became managing director of the Central Commission for Workers' Sports in Berlin in 1924. The Nazis imposed a professional ban on him.
