Alexandria is on the brink of destruction. Rick, Ezekiel, and their band of freedom fighters have declared war on Negan, who gladly accepts the challenge. The Machiavellian despot and his saviors have been cornered, but the small army that wanted to free itself from this madman once and for all could not land the final blow, despite Holly breaking through all barriers with a vehicle in a desperate mission. Negan is now preparing his retaliatory strike that will sweep Alexandria off the map. Amidst the enemy offensive, Rick's depleted group is trying to regroup in their fortress. The last-minute reinforcements from the residents of the hill, now led by Maggie, buy them some time. But the damage is irreparable, with smoke rising over Alexandria.
