How many hours does the day have when you are not on the run? When you don't have to fight for survival every moment of your existence? How long has it been since you didn't have to go hungry, since you felt safe? The community of survivors, led by former police officer Rick Grimes, has finally arrived. The established settlement, under the leadership of former congressman Douglas Monroe, has welcomed the small group into its midst. The daily struggle for survival gives way to a routine where being human has a place again. Only Rick, who is supposed to watch over the small community as a lawman, cannot let go of his past.
