However, during the Middle Ages, there was a fear of witches and sorcerers. This led to exclusion and persecution, reaching its tragic peak in the early modern period when countless innocent people fell victim to the Inquisition. This book sheds light on the various causes and manifestations of this madness, based on the latest historical findings.
