The theory of electrical engineering consists of the theory of electrical networks, including the subfields of analysis, modeling, and synthesis, as well as the theory and application of electromagnetic fields. This textbook begins with methods for calculating linear direct and alternating current networks, including the symbolic method and the use of the Laplace transformation. It then covers the theory and methods for calculating nonlinear electrical networks. A detailed discussion is provided on the synthesis of electrical networks and analog circuits. The synthesis of circuits for a required bifurcation behavior is thoroughly addressed from design to realization.
