Product details
In his dissertation, published in 1914 and causing a great stir, Schlesinger addresses fundamental aspects of money and credit economics. In addition to the basic principles of monetary economics, he discusses topics such as deposit banks, international economics, central banks, and the fundamentals of barter economy. His considerations on monetary economics, in particular, show significant parallels to the later work of John M. Keynes. Schlesinger and his "Theory of Money and Credit Economics" were highly praised by Joseph Schumpeter in his 1954 treatise "History of Economic Analysis.".
