Verena Pickart Demont was born in 1961 in Friedrichshafen (Lake Constance). After completing her university studies in Kiel (degree in Geography and Public Law), she worked for several years as the editor-in-chief of a scientific journal (Geographische Rundschau, Westermann Verlag Braunschweig). She then completed a two-year program in Metaphysics, Applied Psychology, and Pastoral Care at Unity Institute in Unity Village (USA). She is also a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and adult educator, and she takes a holistic approach in her work on various aspects of "lived spirituality." Together with her husband Louis, she lives near Zurich, where she works as a relaxation therapist, lecturer at the Migros Club School, freelance seminar leader, author, and in pastoral care.
