Her estate also contained no works from this period. Therefore, the discovery made by Klaus Gültig, the author's nephew, a few years ago was all the more surprising. In the apartment of Marieluise Fleisser, which had been occupied by his mother after her death, he found a lovingly designed picture book in folio format, which apparently dates back to 1942. According to the title dedication, it was intended for the little nephews Klaus-Dieter and Gerd, but it never reached the two children. The album contains a playful yet artistic collage of figures that Marieluise Fleisser cut out from fashion magazines and arranged with small landscape props into playful scenes.
